The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) (Filipino: Pamantasan ng Nueva Ecija sa Agham at Teknolohiya), is a state university located in the province of Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon, Philippines, with its flagship campus at Cabanatuan. The university offers graduate and undergraduate courses in many specialized fields as well as vocational training programs.

The San josef foundation has three levels of education: elementary school, junior high school, and high school. I had the opportunity to intern at San Josef Elementary School. An elementary school that also has a kindergarten in it. It has 5 grades, with 4 sections in 1 grade.

 

The classroom has facilities such as a fan, teacher's desk, teaching aids, a fairly long blackboard, learning television, tables, chairs, supporting books.
Schools have facilities such as halls, cafeterias, offices, classrooms, playgrounds, bathrooms, gardens and parks.

Curriculum

The K to 12 program covers kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (6 years of primary education, 4 years of junior high school, and 2 years of senior high school) to provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for higher education.

I got to know the teachers, staff and students of grade 5. My mentor teacher, mam jd, explained the flow of learning, the characteristics of the students and the places in the school environment. 2.observations In the second week I made observations not only in class 5 but also in the kindergarten in the elementary school neighborhood. I observed the situation during lessons, remembering the time when students would take a break and when students would go home for lunch. My Cooperative Teacher

 I have 2 mentors who I call tatay christ and mam jd. They are my support system behind the scenes. During my internship at the school I only had a few difficulties, because they helped me with some of them. Tatay christ was the first to teach me about sign language, he has a funny, friendly face and is like my own father.  Mam jd was my mentor teacher in elementary school, with a face that already depicted her patience, kindness, she always gave me input and helped me in designing lessons to be interesting and effective to use in the classroom.

Summary and Suggestion

 Procedure of practicum I first learned that there was a program called sea teacher when there were students from the Philippines neust doing internships at my campus, and I was offered to join the program, with all my heart I wanted to follow and find out more information. the first step I filled out the registration form link, I sent my personal data and curriculum vitae. after that I did 2 interview tests. At first I was pessimistic but it turned out that I was able to qualify with the parcialy pathway. After passing, my 3 friends and I conducted training for 1 month in terms of language readiness, mental readiness, and teaching readiness. Purpose of the practicum - to enable pre -service student teacher to develop their teaching skills and pedagogy - to encourage pre service student teachers to practice their english skills - to allow the lre service student teachers to gain a broader regional and world view - to expose future teacher to diverse teaching and learning situations...
